The 67-year-old Lancaster City man was taken into custody in Scranton by Pennsylvania State Police.
Lancaster County Crime Stoppers had been offering the reward "for information leading the arrest and/or conviction" of Vazquez.
“David Vazquez is aware of the criminal charges and has been intentionally avoiding law enforcement,” Crime Stoppers said in a statement. The warrant for his arrest was issued on June 20, 2022 for the following charges:
- Rape of victim with mental disability.
- Sexual assault.
- Institutional sexual assault of a minor.
- Indecent assault.
- Corruption of minors.
- Endangering the welfare of children.
- Terroristic threats.
He was apprehended on Monday, Aug. 28.
